Mateusz Cieplak

Frontend Developer · React · Next.js · TypeScript

I build web products end to end, from the Figma file to production.

At the Profitway agency I take client projects from the first commit to release: interface, CMS back end, integrations, servers and domains. Mostly Next.js, Shopify and WooCommerce, in an AI-assisted workflow I help build for the whole team.

Based in Poland, working remotely

Test-drive campaign panel for an Audi, Volkswagen and Porsche dealer group

Users build campaign links with UTM parameters and printable QR codes from a city, dealership, model and route matrix. Leads arrive with full context and go to email and the CRM, with a separate admin role and a daily fleet sync from the client's API.

    The agency's internal system

A team panel built from scratch, with Google sign-in limited to company accounts and a session shared across subdomains. It holds the full brand book, an email signature generator, job postings with a public JSON feed and a directory wired to Google Workspace.

    Manuarte

Site and store rebuilt from scratch

A custom theme built from Figma, events modelled as custom post types with ACF, and the store's back end moved into a custom plugin for analytics, consent and lead capture. Paynow checkout and a server migration with every old URL redirected.

    Hadat Cosmetics

    One store, three markets

Theme work from Figma for a store selling across the EU, the US and Latvia: mega menu, product quiz, free-shipping progress bar, Judge.me reviews and a lazy-loaded background video, plus a localisation audit run with my own scripts.

    Love and Hate

    Store rebuild and EU compliance

A redesign on a new theme with grouped variants and a sticky add-to-cart, plus the withdrawal button required by EU Directive 2023/2673. I also traced a Baselinker–Fakturownia integration that had blocked month-end accounting for months to an expired token, and backfilled the missing invoices.

A custom theme built from Figma for 320–1920 px, content on custom post types with ACF, and a custom plugin for forms. Complete schema.org data validated without errors, an llms.txt file and an AI bot access policy, plus automatic deletion of old submissions in line with the privacy policy.

Mafia IRL

A mobile-first web app for playing Mafia around a real table. Players join a room from their phones, the host runs the night and day phases, and every role, night action and vote stays in sync in real time.

  • Server-side game engine on Express and Socket.IO: phase flow, night resolution, day voting, win conditions and reconnects
  • A separate view for the host with a live feed of what happens each night
  • Optional phase timers synced from the lobby, and bots for playtesting
  • Vitest suite covering every phase, plus a full-game integration test
  • Dockerised web and server apps, with a one-command LAN setup for testing on real phones

03 · Approach

How I work

The standards I bring to every project, whatever the stack.

  1. Performance

No layout shift, WebP images, lazy loading and a deliberate rendering strategy, checked from 320 to 1920 px on every release.

  2. Accessibility

Semantic HTML, keyboard support and WCAG checks as part of the job, not a pass at the end.

  3. Git everywhere

Every project in Git, WordPress and Shopify included: feature branches, pull requests, commit conventions and webhook deploys.

  4. Infrastructure

Domains, DNS records, SSL, environment variables, Docker and EasyPanel. I set up what I ship.

  5. AI-assisted workflow

Claude Code and Cursor every day, plus custom MCP servers that give the whole team project context inside their AI tools.

04 · About

From geology to frontend

Before frontend I studied hydrogeology and engineering geology at AGH University of Krakow. The analytical habit stayed with me: I like to measure before and after, which is why most of my case studies come with numbers.

I moved into programming through Mate Academy's frontend course and an internship at CoderBros, and since 2025 I've been building for clients at Profitway. Now I'm growing toward full-stack JavaScript, and Mafia IRL is where I practise the back-end half.
